Research Objectives:
The modeling component of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project focuses on temperature and salinity profiles of the water column at each standard station in the study areas. The models will also include weather and navigational data such as wind speed and direction, air temperature and humidity at east station site, as well as latitude and longitude data. Data from shipboard ADCP is also used for interpretation and checking of geostrophic calculations.
