Event Numbering System
All projects are identified by a unique event number. It comprises a prefix, a 3-digit number, and a suffix.
Prefix  
The prefix is a letter that indicates the USAP program funding a project.

B Biology & Medicine
G Geology & Geophysics
I Glaciology
O Ocean & Climate Systems
W Artists & Writers

3-Digit Number List Projects By Event Number
The 3-digit number provides the uniqueness for each event number. No two projects have the same number.
Suffix  
The suffix represents the supporting station. If field work takes place at more than one location the event number carries more than one suffix separated by a slash.

S South Pole Station
L R/V Laurence M. Gould
N RV/IB Nathaniel B. Palmer
E Special projects supported by the USAP.
Examples include investigators working with other national antarctic programs, groups working on islands in the peninsula.
