Introducing the South Pole Webcam

Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station is one of three year-round stations operated by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and now there is a webcam mounted there to allow USAP participants, scientists, and the general public to view activity and geophysical rarities at the South Pole.  To provide these images, the USAP portal supports a new South Pole webcam page:

The web page also provides current weather, a station map, aerial photo, and links to current research projects.  Additional links and resources include the National Science Foundation—Office of Polar Programs web site, the South Pole Station Special Report, and the International Polar Year 2007-2008 and International Geophysical Year (IGY) web sites.
