U.S. Antarctic Program medical-review operations at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston have returned to near normal following a slowdown caused by Tropical Storm Harvey.

OPP does not expect to issue further updates on this situation.

Due to the effects of Tropical Storm Harvey on the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, responses to phone calls, emails, faxes and other communications about physical-qualification (“PQ”) decisions for deployment to Antarctica as part of the U.S. Antarctic Program may be delayed.

The Office of Polar Programs will update this information as the situation permits. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
