NSF Antarctic Station-Manager Position Open: Deadline, July 6, 2018

The Office of Polar Programs in NSF's Directorate for Geosciences is accepting applications for the position of manager at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, the largest U.S. Antarctic research station and the logistics hub for the NSF-managed U.S. Antarctic Program. The deadline for application is July 6, 2018

NSF's Office of Polar Programs seeks to fill the position of section head in its Antarctic Sciences Section. The section head is a senior member of OPP's management team and is responsible to the Office Director for the overall planning, management and commitment of budgeted program funds for the section. The application period opened on April 3 and will close on May 29.

MacDonald joins Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics Section

Brian MacDonald has joined OPP's Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics (AIL) Section as Capital Planning Manager. MacDonald will work closely with AIL experts to implement a long-range capital plan to insure the nation's Antarctic stations continue to support world-leading science well into the future.

The NSF is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Program Director for the Arctic Sciences Section (ARCSS) Program in the Office of Polar Programs (OPP), Directorate for Geosciences (GEO) in Alexandria, VA. The Office of Polar Programs is responsible for planning, funding, and implementing scientific research programs in both the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
