Emslie, University of North Carolina Professor of Biology and Marine Biology Dr. Steven Emslie has traveled to #Antarctica to study climate change and penguin paleohistory more than 15 times over the past few decades. His #NSFfunded research findings have recently been published in the latest online edition of Geology. As described in the paper’s abstract, fresh-appearing remains and carcasses of penguins have been revealed from under ice and snow by the recent warming trend in the Ross Sea.
