NASA astronaut Christina Koch (pictured bottom right), who has extensive experience in science-support at OPP’s stations in Greenland and Antarctica, arrived aboard the International Space Station when the hatches between a Soyuz spacecraft and the orbiting laboratory officially opened at 11:07 p.m. EDT on March 14.

Also pictured are NASA astronaut Nick Hague and cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin, of Roscosmos, who joined NASA astronaut Anne McClain, Expedition 59 commander Oleg Kononenko, of Roscosmos, and David Saint-Jacques, of the Canadian Space Agency, aboard the ISS.

McClain and Koch will complete the upgrades to two station power channels during a March 29 spacewalk. This will be the first-ever spacewalk with all-female spacewalkers.
