The OPP-funded McMurdo Oceanographic Observatory collects sounds of life from the waters of McMurdo Sound, off NSF’s McMurdo Station, Antarctica, with a high-definition underwater microphone 70 feet below the ice to document the under-ice soundscape at an unprecedented quality and over a longer duration than ever before.

This week, the sound will be broadcast live on two separate days—today, April 30, and Thursday, May 2—for an hour, beginning at 1PM Eastern, here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCvuxF3iI3R47VmriWKn60Q/live
